Finally!

Where and when did you find yourself sitting down to read? Do you tend to read with music on, or in silence? By the computer? Did you find yourself checking your phone a lot, or do you ever lose yourself in the reading? Do you ever talk about the books you read with your family or friends or teachers?
This class was so much fun for me because I have never had trouble reading before so to be graded on when and how much I read I found so awesome! I would read whenever I got the chance to do so, especially if it was a book I couldn't put down. Where you ask? I would usually sit on the couch I have in my room right below my window next to my bookshelf. I love looking out the window when I pause my reading. I tend to read without music, I love to read in silence. If I have music on while I read i'll start singing to it, every word, and will lose focus on my book and I don't want to do that. I never check my phone while reading unless I am truely not interested in the book and have to start a new one. Other than that my phone is on the other side of the room and the book drags me into it's world and I lose everything else around me. Sometime my mom will even try to talk to me and I won't even hear her because I am so enthralled with my book. Me and my friends are constantly talking about the books that we are reading. We are all closet bookworms, everybody thinks just by looking at us that we have never picked up a book a day in our lives but in reality we are all reading and trading books all the time.

BIEBER FEVER!

MY FAVORITE CD RIGHT NOW! IT IS ON REPEAT! I THINK MY MOM IS GONNA KILL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Currently!

Books I am Reading: Perks of Being a Wallflower, Wicked
Pages Read This Week: 313

Favorite Sentences of the Week:
"Kind of like my Aunt Helen and me. I'm sorry. 'My Aunt Helen and I. That's one stupid thing I learned this week."
- In this sentence and section of the book he is talking about his experiences in his advanced english class, it just made me laugh becuase when I learned grammar freshman year I said the same thing, it was SO STUPID! lol
"And I did. And I really hurt Sean. And then I started crying."
- I don't know why but I found this sentence hystarical yet so cute at the same time. I laughed so hard that after he beat someone up he started to cry even though HE WON! And yet I found it so sensative and sweet that he felt that bad about his personal defense.
"I think the idea is that every person has to live for his or her own life and then make the choice to shar it with other people."
- I think anyone can see as to why I picked this sentence, it is obviously so blunt and powerful and so freaking true! This is a perfect statement about life.

Antho Project

I'm really excited to start this Antho project because me and Jenna are doing it together! We are doing love and hate, it should be a hilarious way to get out our emotions towards those other humans we call boys. Both of us have some anger built up for them so therefore the hate side should be quite fun! ;) We are also gonna use lyrics from a Taylor Swift song

Bingo

4 mistakes:

1. Kayyy Babyyyhttp://maddie17-booklover.blogspot.com/ -- He says whatever comes to mind, saying that his parents "would have about two hemorrhages apiece if I told anything pretty personal about them," shows that he doesn't really care what he says, just wants to get his point across.
Mistake- She uses he says and that's a common weakness.

2. Peanut butter without the Jelly http://addie-line.blogspot.com/ --  "Towering volumes of marble and glass" is what he saw as the lobby, which creates a clear, yet abstract vision.
Mistake- Starts a sentence with a quote.

3.They call me fresh money   Baker describes as the escalator as "They were the free standing kind: a pair of integral signs swooping upward between the two floors they served without struts or piers to bear any intermediate weight" and  he tells us that "On sunny days like this one, a temporary, steeper escalator of daylight, formed by intersections of the lobby's towering volumes of marble and glass, met the real escalators just above their middle point, spreading into a needly area of shine where it fell against their brushed-steel side-pannels, and adding long glossy highlights to each of the black rubber handrails"
Mistake- Wayyyyyyy to long of quotes...shorten them up alotttttt.

4.  Eddie The exert The Mezzanine by Nicholson Baker uses high language as he decribes the lobby and escalators as, "area of shine where it fell against their brushed steel side panels."
Mistake- Uses the word uses...bad verb

I started the perks of being a wallflower in class on friday and so far it is a good book, at first I had a little trouble getting into it because I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it but once I got started it was pretty good! Then I was talking to one of my best friends and realized she had read the same book! She told me to keep reading and keep getting into it because it gets good. Then I decided to google the book and get some reviews on it and turns out a lot of other people liked it too, so I am diving in head first into it!
